Feeding someone is sacred.
Both founders are Sikh — and in their faith, feeding someone is among the most sacred acts a person can perform. That conviction shapes what we do beyond the balance sheet.
Helping Redbridge's young people make positive health choices.
Open on Redbridge.gov.uk Chef Kuljit Singh, working with Redbridge Council's Public Health team and the local NHS Health Improvement Team, launched a new School Engagement Project called Fast Food Flip — aimed at Year 7 students across Redbridge.
Local data shows that by Year 6, obesity levels rise sharply (41% compared to 37% in reception), so helping children make good choices early on is key.
The programme also includes upcoming cooking and nutrition sessions, designed to help families learn affordable and healthy recipes they can recreate at home.
Chef Kuljit has also filmed a short series of healthy fast-food alternatives for families to try at home, helping young people make healthier choices beyond the classroom.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and continued talking about it long after the programme ended, which is a real testament to the energy, expertise and enthusiasm brought to the workshops.”
