Open PDF on Redbridge.gov.uk Chef Kuljit Singh, working with Redbridge Council's Public Health team and the local NHS Health Improvement Team, launched a new School Engagement Project — Fast Food Flip — aimed at Year 7 students across Redbridge. Local data shows that by Year 6, obesity levels rise sharply (41% compared to 37% in reception), so helping children make good choices early on is key.
The programme also includes upcoming cooking and nutrition sessions, designed to help families learn affordable and healthy recipes they can recreate at home. Chef Kuljit has also filmed a short series of healthy fast-food alternatives for families.

Chef Kuljit appeared as a MasterChef: The Professionals contestant. Covid-19 curtailed the season earlier than anyone would have chosen, but the talent on screen was unmistakable.
Sarabjeet Singh was invited by the Japanese government to attend Japan's first International Food Fair, to experience and help promote Japanese food culture on a world stage.
