Chef Kuljit Singh is working with Redbridge Council's Public Health team and the local NHS Health Improvement Team on a school engagement programme called Fast Food Flip. Year 7 students learn to flip fast food into healthier alternatives — chopping skills, healthy chicken wrap demonstrations, and a wider wellbeing programme.
Local data shows that by Year 6, obesity levels in Redbridge rise sharply — 41% compared to 37% in reception. Helping children make good choices early is critical.
Both founders are Sikh — and in their faith, feeding someone is among the most sacred acts a person can perform. This isn't marketing. It's a small part of how a business that takes feeding people seriously expresses itself in the world.
